The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft. It allows a high level of detail. For example, a motorcycle model in the 1:24 scale will measure 4 inches 10.4 cm if the original motorcycle measures 2.5m in length (250 24 = 10.41). A plane in the 1:24 scale will measure 1 foot 6 inches 45cm in length if the aircraft model is 11m long (1100-1124 = 45.8).
